Average Negative San Francisco, CA

My loop was pretty compact: four interviews total—two coding rounds, one system design round, and one behavioral conversation. I felt like I did well across all of them, and I even got told they’d send an offer letter by the end of the week.

That part raised my expectations, but the follow-through didn’t happen. After about a month, there was still no update, and the silence made the whole situation feel worse than a straightforward rejection would’ve.

Difficult Positive United States

My first call was a phone screen, then I moved into an interview with a manager and two more technical rounds with frontend and backend engineers. The manager part was genuinely pleasant, which made the whole process feel more reasonable at the start.

But the system design interview was where I got stuck. It was described in a way that felt ambiguous and hard to navigate, and I couldn’t lock onto what they wanted. Once I realized I was fighting the framing rather than the problem itself, my confidence took a hit.
