Difficult Positive São Paulo, São Paulo

My first contact in the interview flow was with HR, followed by meetings with an engineering manager and a commercial engineering manager. The most distinctive part for me was a technical demonstration where I used a virtualized environment to simulate cybersecurity scenarios.

It also included a demonstration of my knowledge, and that practical element made the round stand out compared to purely abstract interviews. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the technical demo format was memorable.

My interview process felt pretty conventional and easy to follow. I started with an initial call with the recruiter, then I had a hiring manager call, and the last step was a call with a team engineer. Across those conversations, everything felt straightforward.

In the hiring manager stage, the framing was that this could be an architect-style role for a new project. I was given a take-home task and later had to present the results to the rest of the team. The team discussions heavily leaned into DevOps questions based on what I produced, and that was interesting because I was able to talk through the work while they asked focused follow-ups.
