My first step with CrowdStrike was a recruiter call over Zoom. The interviewer joined almost 10 minutes late, which immediately set a slightly awkward tone, but they were still professional and polite once we started. We covered the usual basics about my background and work history, and the conversation stayed fairly lightweight.
What stood out was that they ended up asking whether I might be a better fit for a similar role on a different team. I didn’t move further than that recruiter touchpoint, and overall it felt like a soft redirect rather than a rigorous first interview.

Difficult Negative Pune
After applying, I went through the earlier pipeline that included college-placement style steps and then an online assessment. The multiple-choice portion was manageable for me, but the assessment overall felt tougher than I expected, especially given that it was for an internship.
The biggest problem was the mix: even though I could solve the MCQs, the seven coding questions were way above the level I was aiming for. I finished but walked away feeling like the bar didn’t match the role level, and that difficulty level is what defined the whole experience for me.
