The technical parts felt structured and fairly standard, but what I remember most clearly was the hiring-manager style of the overall flow—especially how the behavioral conversation was framed around the role itself. The interviewer walked through the cohort structure, the different tracks available, and the teams I might be placed on. It was more about alignment and expectations than tricky questioning.

My process was built around a long, structured technical discussion. It started with a senior engineer conversation lasting about an hour and a half, and it clearly had three themes: why I was interested in the role, questions on data structures and algorithms, and a system design interview component.

What made it feel intense was that it wasn’t “quiz me and move on.” The interview had a live cadence and leaned on fundamentals and reasoning, and I had to show more than just a final answer. At some point it also felt like I was moving through back-to-back blocks—there was live coding, then a whiteboard/design and architecture segment, and then live coding again tied to algorithms and data structures.
