After my initial discussion, I was told I’d receive the coding take-home immediately, but I didn’t see the files for almost 48 hours. When I followed up again, I still didn’t get what I needed right away, and it took another week before the missing files arrived.
After I was told my take-home was reviewed and I would advance, I was preparing to present it to two Solutions Engineers—then I got a call about 45 minutes before the scheduled time. They added a last-minute live coding portion, and since I tend to freeze when live coding gets sprung on me, it threw me off badly. The rest of the presentation and the take-home work itself were praised, but the portion I hadn’t been given time to prepare was what mattered most.
