I went through a pretty structured three-round process that felt heavier on fundamentals and collaboration. First was a recruiter conversation focused on culture and softer skills. Then I met with a senior software engineering manager for a round that mixed general technical knowledge with behavioral questions. The last step was with a senior software engineer and leaned into a paired coding exercise.
Even though the path was clear—recruiter to manager to engineering—the overall difficulty matched that “hard” label. By the end of the paired coding round, I had a strong sense that it wasn’t just about getting something to work, but how I thought and communicated while doing it. I left without an offer, and the feeling was that the bar was genuinely high across both the technical and the behavioral parts.
