My process for the Software Engineer role felt fairly intense and structured around three main interviews after an initial screen. The first technical round covered a mix of core Java and web fundamentals: OOPs and collections, Java 8, Spring Boot REST APIs with annotations and exception handling, plus a React basics check on components, hooks, and state. It also included DSA coding focused on arrays and strings, and a database fundamentals segment with SQL and joins. The interviewer was supportive and asked both concept questions and practical ones.
A later round went deeper into advanced technical and system design. I had to lay out high-level architecture, talk about database design and performance/optimization, and explain microservices concepts. They also asked about AWS basics like EC2 and S3 at a deployment-understanding level, and I worked through scenarios involving Spring Boot interacting with databases.
