Difficult Negative Toronto, ON

My process stretched to about six weeks and ended up feeling drawn out and inconsistent. It began with a recruiter call, then I completed a take-home test that took me around an hour. After that I had a technical staff phone call, then two on-site interviews, and finally three additional Skype-based calls—each one lasting about an hour.

What lingered most was the follow-up period. Once the interviews were over, there were roughly two weeks of me repeatedly checking in just to get a standard rejection email. They kept telling me I’d have an update by the end of the week, every week, and that never materialized. Even with all the steps and time invested, the close didn’t feel like closure so much as a slow delay into a template message.
