My process felt a bit more difficult and heavily grounded in finance and macro-level awareness. The pace felt efficient, but what threw me off was that there was confusion on the level: I originally thought I was interviewing for a lead track, but the process shifted when they told me my experience wasn’t considered eligible for that and I’d instead be considered for an analyst role.
Those meetings focused on fitting me to the correct level and then validating the basics that mattered for the research analyst work. Even with the HR misalignment early on, the experience still felt fairly smooth overall because the feedback on my candidacy was at least direct, and the switching of titles became clear quickly. I didn’t end up receiving an offer, but the process felt time-bound and orderly once it got going.
