My journey started with an HR call where I shared basic details, and then they quickly set up a technical conversation for the role. When I couldn’t make the initially scheduled time, I asked to reschedule and the scheduling ended up being pretty effortless.

The technical round itself was finance-leaning and pretty conversational in tone. I was asked straightforward accounting and finance questions like how to compute free cash flow, how the three financial statements link together, and how I’d think through the mechanics. It also felt like they cared that I could explain the logic clearly rather than just recite definitions.

Once I made it past the initial stage, the process stayed light and structured. I went through two rounds: one led by an associate director technical interviewer and another led by a director that included both technical discussion and a case study component.

The questions were mostly accessible if you had a finance background—more about fundamentals and applying them to realistic scenarios than anything that felt like a trick. The overall experience felt smooth, and it even gave me a sense of the culture and how the team works.
