After I submitted, I got an email for a first interview that built directly from the approach I used—then I had a follow-up step where someone helped review my codebase understanding and discussed what I’d implemented.
The interview experience itself felt more conversational than the take-home, but it still tied back to correctness and how I thought about the implementation. After that stage, I was left waiting without clear next steps and ultimately didn’t get an offer.

Across the assignments and interviews, I ran into the same frustrating theme: the instructions and specs didn’t translate into clear, consistent evaluation. I received feedback that either felt contradictory—like being told I handled business rules while also being told my solution didn’t adhere to the specification—or it came down to vague commentary such as “attention to detail” without actionable specifics. Even when I tried to verify the result set multiple times against requirements, the rejection stayed generic, and there was little to no follow-up contact to clarify what the reviewers believed was missing.
