The recruiter essentially didn’t show up for the first interview day—I never saw them in the room, and there was no email follow-up. When I reached out, they returned and asked for about 30 more minutes to finish, and I had to reschedule.
In the hiring manager interview, the tone turned more serious and more uncomfortable. They asked me for a screenshot of my scorecard from my current job. I explained that I couldn’t share internal performance data, even if I was willing to disclose my results in a compliant way, and they made it clear that without the scorecard they wouldn’t make a decision.

The process moved fast. I had a very short 15-minute interview where one person started with the usual “why this area / why IB-style work” type questions. Then the second interviewer switched into technical territory, including a question about NAV.
I wasn’t fully expecting the way industry context showed up, because it caught me off guard. Even though it was brief, it still felt like they were looking for quick, confident technical reasoning, and I didn’t end up performing as strongly as I’d hoped. Ultimately I didn’t receive an offer, and I was left feeling like I should have focused more on the industry framing than I did.
