I got pulled into the process through a recruiter outreach that started out smooth and efficient. After the initial recruiter conversation, I moved through interviews with organized, professional people, and I kept thinking it was going to be a straightforward path.
The turning point came after the final round in early December. Communication stopped entirely, and I was told a decision would come after the holidays with a start date that might land around February. When I followed up in late January and February with both the recruiter and the hiring manager, I didn’t get any response. I even reached out directly to the person from the final round just to ask for a status update, and that went nowhere either.
