After an initial recruiter-style HR screen, I ended up doing SQL-focused rounds where the job expectations and core database concepts were really the center of gravity. In the first call, they checked things like location, visa status, salary expectations, availability, and then we talked through the position details. That was followed by technical interviews that mostly drilled into SQL and RDBMS fundamentals, and there was an HR wrap-up after to go deeper on what the role and projects would look like.

What stood out to me was how quickly the process moved from logistics to depth on SQL. One of the later discussions also felt more role-specific: they asked about project-related thinking like SDLC overview, responsibilities in an individual contributor role, stakeholder management, and program/project management. Overall, it felt like a pretty standard “can you operate in the work” assessment—moderate difficulty, very competency-driven—and I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the feedback style felt straightforward.

Before my interview, they actually gave me materials to review and even offered a mock interview opportunity so I could run through the flow and see where I would likely stumble. The interviewer was kind, and the experience felt supportive rather than intimidating.

When the real session came, it was fairly direct and structured around my resume and basic behavior questions, then straight into SQL fundamentals. I went through topics like DDL and DML and how joins work, and I had to write queries—including creating a table with the right constraints and doing some easy join work. Even though it was technical, the difficulty matched the easy end of what they emphasized, and the style of questioning made it feel approachable rather than tricky. I didn’t receive an offer, but it was one of the more organized and friendly interview experiences I had.
