I went through a pretty math-and-product-heavy sequence. After an online assessment that mixed some data analysis with math, I had a recruiter call focused on fit. That was followed by a mini case where a PM walked me through a Capital One product related to what I’d worked on before, and we treated it like a structured conversation.
The final stage was the PowerDay with four back-to-back one-hour interviews. I covered two product cases that were tied to improving a well-known customer area, two math-oriented cases, and an open-ended prioritization scenario where I had to decide what problem to solve first and explain how I’d approach the solution. Overall it felt difficult largely because the day demanded sustained product thinking while keeping up with quantitative parts.
