Average Positive Sydney

I had a fairly classic flow that started with a recruiter call, then moved into a set of interviews that felt organized and low-drama. After passing the initial step, I went through an AI code interview and then a final group of rounds that combined different evaluation styles: a get-to-know-you style conversation with only minor technical questions, plus a more structured day with system design, behavioral, and live coding.

The people I spoke with were welcoming and helpful, and communication from the team stayed friendly throughout the journey—even when the process ran slower due to scheduling around holidays. The interviews themselves didn’t feel especially hostile or unfair; it was more that the bar was just exacting in how they wanted each round handled.

Difficult Negative Australia

I started with recruiter screening and then moved into a longer technical session that combined multiple rounds back-to-back. Early on, there was an AI coding challenge that felt very practical: I had to implement a text-to-image rendering system where I took input text plus a specified font URL and produced an image of the text in that font. The interviewer really wanted to see how I interacted with the AI—making it follow the right path versus just using it to magically fix everything.

After that, I went into a behavioral/leadership section with questions like fast decisions without data, times I took something from good to great, and how I collaborated with business stakeholders. Then there was a “programming language fluency” test: I worked on implementing caching by creating my own hash map behavior rather than leaning on built-ins. It was a JavaScript/Java-adjacent kind of fluency check, and it felt more grounded than a classic LeetCode problem, even though the exact implementation details tested how sharp my day-to-day language knowledge still was.
