
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) offers more than 80 programs that support the health of Californians. The state agency administers a budget of more than $3 billion, and its various centers focus on family health, environmental health, disease prevention, emergency preparedness, and public access to health records. The majority of the department's funds are delivered through services at the local level. CDPH was established in 2007 as part of a reorganization of the former California Department of Health Services.
