How hard is it to get an interview and offer at CACI for a Network Engineer role?

In reported interviews for this role, candidates most commonly described the difficulty as average. Based on the same set of reports, the offer rate is 100%, so once you get through the process, offers were reported for all interviewed candidates.

What are the interview rounds for CACI Network Engineer, and how does the loop run?

The process starts with Application Review, followed by a Structured Interview that lasts about one hour and focuses on your technical background. Next comes a Technical Deep-Dive, where the discussion gets more in-depth around Cisco-centric networking and security protocols.

What topics does CACI test for a Network Engineer interview, especially routing and VPN?

Expect routing and path selection topics that cover EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, including Cisco advanced routing fundamentals. On the secure connectivity side, the focus commonly includes IPsec, ISAKMP/IKE, and site-to-site VPN concepts, plus DMVPN in a hub-and-spoke architecture.

Which specific protocol questions should I prepare for at CACI as a Network Engineer?

Your preparation should cover questions like “What is the administrative distance for redistributed EIGRP?” and “Describe the convergence behavior of OSPF in a large-scale network.” For VPN security, be ready for “How do you verify that Phase 1 of an IPsec VPN is successfully established?” and “What is the difference between IKEv1 and IKEv2 in the context of tunnel negotiation?”

What technical troubleshooting and security mindset does CACI expect from a Network Engineer?

You are expected to answer with practical, hands-on troubleshooting steps rather than purely theoretical definitions, including how you identify scope, isolate faults, verify fixes, and document outcomes. Across routing and VPN discussions, you should keep a security-first framing, explaining how you maintain integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the data.

How much does CACI pay for a Network Engineer, and does it vary?

The provided materials do not include compensation figures for CACI Network Engineer, so you will need to rely on job-posting reports or your recruiter for specifics. The interview materials do emphasize the role’s Cisco-centric routing and security focus, which can influence leveling and pay depending on seniority and location.
