My first touch was supposed to be a quick phone screen set up by an interviewer, but the logistics were messy from the start. The screen was scheduled about three weeks in advance and then got rescheduled on the day itself.
It also felt unprepared and unclear. When we connected, it turned out there wasn’t a current open opportunity tied to what they were trying to evaluate, and the interviewer wasn’t able to explain when an opportunity might actually exist or provide details about what the role would be in the future. The overall impression was that the interviewer wasn’t ready for the conversation and seemed unfocused.

The process felt straightforward on paper: I went through one behavioral discussion, then an online assignment, and then two technical interviews. While it sounded manageable, the final technical round became harder for a very specific reason—difficulty fully understanding the interviewer because of their accent.
