After applying, I started with a CodeSignal test. It covered the basics of a data science pipeline—data manipulation and cleaning, then modeling—so it felt like a “show me fundamentals” screen. Right after that, I had a recruiter call that lasted about 30 minutes, which was mostly there to confirm my background and walk through logistics.
Then I moved into a technical case round and a business/fit check round. The whole sequence felt structured and fairly clear on the surface, but what stood out to me was how the communication and guidance fell short. Across the stages, I ended up feeling confused about requirements and expectations rather than supported with clear dialogue, and that made the process feel unnecessarily uncertain.

After that, I went into an interview that felt like a coding-and-case hybrid: I was given a case involving a person and had to work through it.
What made the flow challenging was how much the interviews leaned into case discussions and applied problem solving. In my technical rounds, most questions stayed case-oriented, and there was only one interview with a very senior member where the questions shifted into more theoretical territory around statistics and machine learning. Those were still tightly framed in the context of understanding models, rather than purely coding.
