My interview experience was pretty straightforward and felt low-pressure compared to more intense technical loops. Because of COVID, everything happened virtually, and the process was a short set of rounds that mixed personality-style screening with a technical component.
I also walked into the process with some clear expectations about logistics and compensation level, and that helped me gauge early whether things were lining up. Overall, the interview felt fair and the people I spoke with were nice, but the main downside was that the framing around remote work and pay level didn’t match reality, which made the whole experience feel like a time waste rather than a smooth process toward an offer.

My process felt very structured but not overly drawn out. I started with a recruiter touchpoint that went over my background, then moved into interviews with engineers and managers where the questions tied directly back to my experience and the responsibilities in the job. I was asked to talk through my resume and prior projects in a way that made it more of a conversation than a sequence of traps, and there was time for questions at the end.
The technical side leaned more toward how I approached problems than toward writing code live. In the engineering rounds, they asked more about how I would think through situations, and they dug into the technologies I listed on my resume. I also got pulled into a deeper security-clearance conversation where they went into personal history details like credit and other life factors, which was honestly the most intense part of the process for me.
