I applied through their website and an HR representative reached out to schedule an interview by asking about my availability. I sent my availability, but then I never heard back. I followed up twice by email to try to get the interview scheduled, but there was still no response.
What made it frustrating was that the job portal showed that I was currently interviewing for the role, yet I couldn’t get in contact with the HR representative to actually complete the process. It was easy in terms of how the initial contact started, but the overall experience felt like a communication failure, and I didn’t receive an offer.

Because of COVID-19, my interview ended up being online with a small panel that included senior managers and a senior developer. It felt less like a formal interrogation and more like a chat with colleagues. They walked through my resume and asked some behavioral questions, then added a simple programming question in the language I was comfortable with. I remember the reassurance that it was okay if I didn’t know every niche topic they mentioned.
In my mind, that online format matched what I’d seen in earlier technical screens for this role: a lot of straightforward technical questioning mixed with discussion of how I’d approach projects. I also had a more traditional onsite version where I was asked around ten technical questions and dug into past work and projects, including open-ended questions about which programming language and which database I would choose.
