Difficult Negative United States

I ended up in a process that stretched across roughly two months with eight distinct rounds. It began with an online assessment, then moved into a recruiter screen, and then a technical screen where the interviewer’s framing didn’t match what I actually experienced. I was told it would review my OA, but instead it mixed behavioral questions with system design.

After that, I got pulled into a half-day, five-round loop. Each round ran about 45 minutes with 15-minute breaks between, so I was constantly resetting. I also felt like the language and setup were meant to keep you on your own—language-agnostic, using my own IDE. The coding rounds weren’t presented as clean, standard DSA prompts either. One of the prompts was about placing trains on a track under constraints, which forced me to draw out requirements and then still talk through algorithmic complexity concerns. Another coding round looked similar in structure but expected me to focus on logical and maintainable problem-solving rather than the DSA-style angle.
