After a recruiter call, I ended up with a technical round made up of a mix of short and longer questions, followed by an interactive coding session that took about two hours. The structure felt like it depended on the team, but overall the difficulty landed in the “not trivial, still a real challenge” range, and I left feeling like I’d had a fair chance to show how I think.
Later I had a secondary conversation with a department director that felt much more like culture fit than deep technical grilling. That part was paced differently—more about how I work and how I’d fit the environment. The process didn’t lead to an offer for me, but I remember the whole sequence as organized and reasonably supportive.
