Difficult Positive London, England

My journey started in a pretty standard way: I was pulled in after applying, then I went through a first round that was heavily about my resume. After a quick introduction and discussion of my experience—basically “why this role, why this company, and walk me through your background”—the process moved into straightforward technical work.

The technical interviews were built around LeetCode-tagged problems, usually two problems per round. They felt medium overall, and the questions often matched common patterns, including variations where the intent mattered more than brute forcing. In one round I didn’t even solve the problem, and I noticed the interviewer was focused on getting to the “right shape” of code—like what they expected in boilerplate and how recursion was structured—so I felt myself chasing the expected flow late.
