I went through Blinkit’s process for an SDE 2 backend role in June 2026, and it ended after a single 60-minute DSA + resume round. The recruiter screen phase seemed to just lead into that first technical interview, where the conversation was split between my past experience and live problem solving. I spent about the first part talking through my resume and background, then shifted into the DSA portion for the remaining time.
The technical questions felt like a straightforward evaluation of core problem-solving rather than anything domain-specific. I had time to think and work through the prompt, but overall the round didn’t go the way I needed it to. Even with my explanations of my background in the earlier segment, the DSA portion was the deciding factor, and I ultimately didn’t clear the process.

My Blinkit journey for the SDE 2 role started when I applied via Instahyre after a recruiter reached out by call. I already had around 3 years of full-time experience plus about 6 months of internship, and my background included an SDE-2 role at a fintech company. I interviewed out of Bangalore, and the offer came through in June 2026.
The interview process, as it played out for me, was centered on a design round. It was framed around high-level and low-level design, so the focus wasn’t just on coming up with a rough architecture—I had to talk through details too. What stood out to me was how much they expected a coherent narrative from the high-level decisions down into more concrete design considerations.
