My journey started with a pre-screen that didn’t really cause any issues, and it felt straightforward. But the experience shifted sharply when I got pulled into the hiring-manager-style round. The interviewer seemed checked out from the beginning—dry delivery, rushing through my responses, and not really answering questions I asked at the end in a detailed way. It didn’t come off as hostile, but it was hard to get into a real technical back-and-forth when the pace felt like it was predetermined.

After that round, I received a rejection notice that was extremely generic, with no meaningful feedback. What stuck with me was the feeling that I didn’t get a fair chance to demonstrate what I could do, even though the interview was scheduled and they went through the motions.
