The overall format felt like: first senior staff interview, then a second round with a team manager. Both were focused heavily on my working history and projects, followed by technical questions.
What made it feel difficult was how concentrated the technical questioning was. I ended up spending a lot of time on multithreading concepts—questions that pushed past surface definitions and required me to explain my reasoning clearly and in detail. I felt like I needed strong conceptual understanding rather than just knowing vocabulary, especially when the discussion got deeper and more complex.

My process felt genuinely hard from the start, even though the interviewer was friendly. I went through three rounds total, and the difficulty ramped quickly into live coding. The main exercise was pretty specific: I had to reimplement pieces of popular utilities—one part like a “get” function from lodash and another part that involved finding the top-k most frequent elements.
Because the bar was high and it was live coding, I spent most of the time thinking through edge cases and correctness rather than just producing something that worked on the happy path. The overall environment still felt interactive, but it was tough enough that the friendliness didn’t make it less stressful. At the end, I didn’t move forward.
