1. What is a QA Engineer at Bell?
As a QA Engineer at Bell, you are the final line of defense in ensuring that our advanced vertical lift aircraft, defense systems, and commercial products operate flawlessly. Quality assurance in the aerospace and defense industry is not just about checking boxes; it is about saving lives, securing critical infrastructure, and pushing the boundaries of flight technology. Whether you are working on structural integrity as a Principal Test Stand Engineer or securing avionics as a Cybersecurity Test Engineer, your work directly impacts the safety and success of our operators worldwide.
This role requires a unique blend of technical rigor, analytical thinking, and a steadfast commitment to safety. You will be tasked with designing comprehensive test plans, operating complex physical test stands, and validating software and cybersecurity protocols. Because our products operate in extreme, high-stakes environments, the scale and complexity of your testing will be far beyond standard consumer quality assurance.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, design engineering, and operations teams at our primary facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. Expect a dynamic environment where you might transition from analyzing data acquisition systems in a lab to inspecting hardware on the production floor. This role is deeply hands-on, highly collaborative, and absolutely critical to maintaining Bell's legacy of engineering excellence.
