After I connected with the recruiters, the process quickly moved into a multi-round panel setup. The first HR conversation felt friendly and it gave me a lot of context about what the role would involve. From there I had a virtual technical path where the hiring manager sat in, followed by additional rounds made up of panels from both a validation and a quality group. The interview flow was structured and, overall, the people I met were pleasant and thoughtful.
Even so, the part that stuck with me most was how the timeline stretched and how little I heard back. The overall journey started in late 2025 and ran for months, and then after the final step I received nothing that felt like real closure—no clear feedback, just silence. What really soured it was the communication behavior from HR; there was even a moment where I felt blocked after I was asking for an update, and that mismatch between a generally nice interview experience and the lack of follow-up made the process feel unnecessarily frustrating.

I went through a fairly long interview session where the format blended technical, behavioral, and role-focused questions. The call lasted about an hour, and it started with me talking through my background before shifting into topics that felt very hands-on—backend and APIs came up, along with questions about cloud technologies. It was clearly meant to test whether I could connect my experience to the kinds of real systems they build.
The panel format also shaped the vibe. Each interviewer introduced themselves and explained their part in the process, and the questions leaned into real-world scenario thinking mixed with some conceptual checks. The process felt methodical and practical rather than abstract for the sake of it.
