Average Positive New York, NY

My process moved fast into a super-day format after two initial calls. Those calls were with an analyst and then an MD on the trading floor, and by the time I got to the in-person portion, the structure was very clearly mapped out. The super-day included multiple head-to-head matchups like a 1v2 and then another 1v2, plus a separate 1v1 with the MD.

Most of the questions I faced were behavioral, and that surprised me because I was expecting more technical trading discussion. The theme was high energy and stress tolerance—basically wanting to understand why I wanted the job and how I would handle that intensity. I remember getting the strongest impression that they were trying to judge fit for a demanding environment rather than just surface-level interest.
