I started with an online OA, then moved into two case rounds. In the first round, I did two business-to-business case interviews and it felt pretty light on behavioral—most of the time was spent on the cases themselves. After that, about a second round followed that also ran as two B2B cases, but the focus shifted more toward how I explained my thinking, not just the calculations.
What surprised me was how quickly the process moved once I got into the case flow, and how much the interviewers emphasized the structure of my approach. The second round felt noticeably harder, and I had the sense they were looking for clearer reasoning under pressure. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the overall experience felt like a consistent, case-heavy evaluation of fit through problem-solving.

Difficult Positive San Francisco, CA
After the recruiter stage, I ended up in a case-first process with two rounds. Because I went through a BEL program, my first round looked a little different: I had two shorter case interviews, each followed by additional time for behavioral questions. The cases were still B2B-style problem solving, just compressed compared to the standard length.
My second round was also two cases with the same overall structure, but it immediately felt like I was being tested at a higher level. I talked through more complex situations with more numbers and trickier questions, and the interviewers tended to be more senior. The whole thing was rigorous, but it wasn’t chaotic—everything felt structured and purposeful.

The cases often include market sizing and business scenarios, with a strong expectation for candidates to articulate their thought processes effectively.

Behavioral & Fit Questions
While case interviews dominate, candidates should also prepare for behavioral and fit questions, particularly in the first round, where these may be integrated with case discussions. The fit component becomes more pronounced in the second round, assessing cultural alignment and personal motivation.
The second round typically features more senior interviewers, which raises the complexity and intensity of the interviews. Candidates should be prepared for a shift in dynamics and expectations as they interact with higher-level staff who may challenge their reasoning more rigorously.
Candidates often undergo an initial online assessment that tests quantitative and logical reasoning skills, followed by structured feedback after interviews. However, some candidates noted inconsistencies in feedback across interviews, which can lead to confusion about their performance.
Candidates should focus on honing their mathematical reasoning and logic skills, as many reports highlighted the importance of quick and accurate calculations during case discussions. Being comfortable with data interpretation and mathematical concepts is crucial for success.
