My experience started with two realities at odds with how I expected a professional process to feel. One recruiter-related scheduling issue immediately put me off: the person organizing the interview didn’t show up and only sent a last-minute message that they couldn’t make it. The way my time was treated made the whole thing feel untrustworthy.
Separately, I also went through rounds where the interview tone felt more like an interrogation than a discussion. The questions were situational, but the way they responded made it seem like there was one preferred “correct” approach, and they weren’t genuinely exploring alternative ways I might reason through the same problem.

Average Positive Singapore
I started with a recruiter setup call, then about a week later I had an HR-focused first interview. That conversation lasted roughly half an hour and covered my communication and basic fit for the role, along with the company’s mission and vision and what they expected from a Business Analyst. It felt very structured: they explained the position requirements, and when I had questions about scope of work, they answered them there.
Next I met a role-focused manager interview, with the panel made up of people specialized in Business Analysis. The discussion centered on my BA background and how I’d approach the kinds of responsibilities expected in the role. After that came a presentation test where I was given a case study. I had a few days to prepare my presentation, and I ended up presenting to the group based on the problem materials, followed by a QA-style check where they probed specific parts of how I structured my thinking.
