Easy Positive Kraków

My process with Backbase followed four stages. I started with an HR screening, then had a behavioral interview with an engineering manager. After that came a technical interview with an engineer where we covered a mix of QA and engineering fundamentals: Java and Spring, Docker, system architecture, testing, and a code review. Toward the end, I went back for another behavioral round with the engineering manager.

Overall it felt straightforward and structured. The technical portion was the most demanding part, especially the code review and the way they connected topics like architecture and testing rather than treating them as separate checklists. I left feeling like I had a fair chance to show how I think and how I work through review feedback, but I didn’t end up getting an offer.

My process kicked off with a recruiter call, and then I was given a take-home assignment. It took a bit of time to complete, and once I finished, they came back with feedback and told me whether I would move forward.

When the process continued, I ended up speaking with a couple of engineers. That follow-up conversation was more about discussing what I produced and getting into technical questions that connected back to the assignment.
