Meu processo foi bem burocrático do começo ao fim, e começou com várias etapas com RH para alinhar meu perfil e expectativas salariais. Na segunda entrevista, parte dela foi em inglês para medir proficiência voltada aos clientes internacionais. Depois disso, eu recebi um teste técnico para implementar no tempo livre, que eles descreviam como algo simples e prático para fazer em poucas horas. Quando houve aprovação, pediram também que eu montasse um currículo em inglês no layout deles para submeter aos clientes.
Quando um cliente dos EUA acabou me selecionando, eu fui para uma etapa final em inglês com um líder técnico deles e com o cliente, e foi aí que eu realmente fiquei desconfortável. A conversa virou bem menos avaliativa do que eu esperava: fizeram perguntas técnicas e chegaram até a analisar código em Java só para ver se compilar, como se a implementação anterior não tivesse peso. Também rolou uma sensação de insegurança na condução, e ao final eu recebi negativa para aquele cliente e a possibilidade de entrar em uma nova seleção.

The process started with a lot of upfront assessment, and it took a while to see where I stood. I was first asked to complete several online tests in English, including an IQ-style section and specific Java knowledge. On top of that, I had to work on a simple project over roughly three days. After approval, I made it into a technical interview done in English at the São Paulo office. The interviewers were friendly and the questions felt relevant, and I actually left confident.
Then things got intense in a different way. Next was an HR interview over Skype that lasted about forty minutes, with more vague, typical HR-style questions. Eventually, I received an email saying they wouldn’t proceed, and when I asked for feedback I wasn’t given anything back. Even when I initially thought the order made sense—technical before HR—it ended up feeling like a waste of time once the process ended after I’d invested days into tests, travel, and interviews.
