After I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn, I went straight into a screening conversation about my background and interest in the account executive role. From there, I met with the hiring manager and the process quickly became a sequence of focused conversations rather than a vague loop of check-ins. I was then pulled into a values interview with someone who wasn’t in sales, and that round stood out because it pushed beyond role mechanics and into how I thought and behaved.
I later went through multiple discussions with sales leadership, including a peer-style panel segment that felt structured and a little more demanding than the earlier chats. The hardest part was the simulation work: I ended up doing a mock call paired with a mock email, with the goal of seeing how I’d run the conversation and translate it into a clear next step. The whole thing took a meaningful amount of time end to end, but I kept getting coordinated and supported—there was always an expectation that I could ask questions and get help scheduling.
