My first step was a phone screen, and from there the process turned into a more selective assessment rather than just a conversation. In one run I spoke with the company’s recruitment admin and then moved into an interview with top technical leadership at their Derby site. That part was pretty casual and informal—more of a personality check than a deep technical evaluation—and they explained the role details like the work, the customer, and the timescales without getting into compensation or perks.

On another occasion, the process felt more like a structured campus pipeline: there was an aptitude stage and then a group discussion before the main interview round. The interview itself combined logical and technical questions, but what stood out was that the questions were framed more around real application rather than pure syllabus content.
