My first step was an HR-style screening where the focus was more on my profile and fit than on deep engineering. In that early conversation, I answered questions like why I wanted to join ASML, what interested me about the position, and how I’d heard about the role. The overall feel was that they wanted clear, factual explanations, not just rehearsed answers.

After that, the later interviews shifted more toward how I think and what I’ve done. I went through technical and general questions that included areas like Python, SQL, and agile, plus questions designed to understand my soft skills—especially how I handled tough situations using concrete examples. The process felt like it was trying to connect my past experience and communication style to how I’d perform in the job.
