How many rounds does Arista Networks have for Network Engineer interviews and how does the loop work?

You should expect a sequence that starts with High-Level Screening, followed by Technical Assessments, and then a Final Presentation. The guide describes the assessments as highly technical and hands-on or presentation-based. The final stage focuses on defending your architectural decisions during your presentation.

Are Arista Networks Network Engineer interviews difficult, and what do interviewers look for?

Candidate-reported interviews are marked as difficult. The guide emphasizes that interviewers want your thought process as much as the correct answer, especially when you are unsure. It also says you should demonstrate analytical rigor by isolating variables in troubleshooting scenarios.

What topics do Arista Networks test for a Network Engineer, especially routing and multicast?

Commonly tested areas include Layer 3 networking (IP routing), Layer 4 networking (transport layer), and network protocol fundamentals. The listed topics also include IP addressing, routing protocols like RIP and IGRP, and multicast networking with IGMP. DNS is also among the top topics to review.

What kinds of technical questions should I practice for Arista Networks Network Engineer?

You should prepare to explain packet flow for DNS requests and to cover how IGMP works in multicast environments. The guide also includes questions about differences between RIP, IGRP, and modern routing protocols, plus troubleshooting a Layer 3 routing issue in a high-traffic environment. Expect scenario-based trade-off questions, such as static routing versus dynamic routing protocols.

How much do Network Engineers at Arista Networks get paid, and does it vary?

I do not have supported pay figures for Arista Networks Network Engineer in the data provided here. The only offer metric available is that the candidate-reported offer rate is 0%, and there are 3 reported interviews, so you should not rely on the dataset for compensation guidance.

Difficult Neutral Chennai

I applied through campus and the first round was extremely tough—I didn’t crack it. The whole thing was focused almost entirely on computer network questions across layer 3 and layer 4, which made the round feel specialized and hard to recover from once I got off track. I didn’t move forward after that first stage, and the experience left me feeling like the bar was high and very domain-specific right at the start.
