After that, the conversation shifted into more standard systems-level questions where I had to explain how I’d approached complex work before.
That systems thread continued when I later had another deeper interview where I was expected to walk through a complex system I’d worked with, level by level. The emphasis stayed on explaining clearly rather than just naming buzzwords, and I leaned into specific decisions and tradeoffs from my past experience. Overall it felt fairly average in difficulty—very technical, but not random.
