Difficult Positive Gurgaon, Haryana

I went through a fairly structured process with two main rounds after the initial screening. The first part leaned technical and case-based: I was asked about finance fundamentals like financial statements, ratio analysis, and how to think through macro-style scenarios such as inflation versus deflation. They also spent time on what I’d worked on academically, pushing for how those projects translated into real-world application.

The second round shifted toward problem-solving and communication. I remember being evaluated on how logically I approached business scenarios, not just whether I could name concepts. Across both rounds, the vibe felt like they wanted conceptual clarity plus practical thinking—especially around finance topics like accounting mechanics and scenario analysis.

Difficult Positive Brazil

My process was technical-heavy from the start, and it dragged on a bit longer than I expected. I ended up speaking with several interviewers—five total was how it felt on my end—and the conversations were largely about how well I understood market instruments and the hedge-fund style of thinking. I was tested on topics like asset classes and derivatives, plus I was asked about how my background connected to the industry.

A lot of the questions were scenario-based and I felt them cross-questioning whenever I gave an answer. They drilled into details around derivatives and valuation-style ideas, including option pricing and Greeks. Risk metrics came up too—things like VaR and how I’d think about CAPM. Even when the questions were challenging, the interviewers stayed fairly chill; they were willing to guide me if I got stuck, but they still clearly had a target depth they wanted to reach.
