Recruiter outreach kicked things off, and I ended up in an HR screen where the interviewer did most of the talking. I barely got a chance to introduce my background, and I left feeling like I probably wouldn’t move forward—especially after it came up that my desired salary was higher than their ceiling. A couple days later, I got the call that everything was fine and that I could schedule technical interviews. I was told there would be three technical rounds.
The first technical round was with a manager and leaned into general and behavioral questions about my experience. The second round was framed to me like a peer code review–style test with Go, but when I got into it, it mostly turned into backend questions about my experience and then a FizzBuzz problem at the end, with very little direct Go focus. The third round was described as a peer code review–style test with React, but it again didn’t really match that framing; it was heavily React-focused and ended with a basic React counter exercise rather than any code review.

One round focused on core OOP and .NET concepts, and it included at least one programming question. The next technical conversation went deeper on advanced OOP and .NET Web API topics, matching the idea that the difficulty increased as I moved forward.
