I started with a recruiter, and then about a week later I met with the team. The recruiter stage was straightforward, but the tone shifted once I walked into the in-person conversations. The group I met felt abrasive and self-congratulatory, like they were trying to convince me they already had everything figured out.
The interviews centered heavily on the day-to-day reality of the job—cold calling most of the day. Instead of focusing on the work itself, the team talked in braggy terms about big-name connections and how successful the account managers were supposed to be, which immediately put me off. It felt like an overly hyped, high-pressure sales movie rather than a normal interview.

Easy Negative Texas City, TX
My process was just two steps: a phone screen and then an in-person interview. Overall it felt pretty light-touch. We didn’t really go deep on what the day-to-day would look like, how training worked, or what the work-life balance actually felt like.
During the interviews, they didn’t spend much time on office culture or what kind of support the team provided to help generate new business. It mostly left me with more questions than clarity by the time the in-person meeting ended.
