I started with an online Python-and-React assessment that felt more like a mini project than a typical coding test. The assessment had multiple parts: first a debugging task, then a section where I had to implement two Python functions using real data structures rather than anything LeetCode-like. Most of my time went into writing tests because the actual function logic was straightforward, and that surprised me a bit. The final part was a React layout task where I was allowed to use AI while building.
After I passed, I moved into a Python-focused interview. It covered Python and FastAPI, and it also touched AI services. There were two live coding problems that required file manipulation and threading. I felt the live parts were the real stress test because I had to work through concurrency and data handling on the spot, not just talk about them.

Difficult Negative Bogotá, Bogota
My process started with a pretty intense online technical assessment that took about two hours. The whole thing was built around a single scenario: a consume-door event handler. I had to assume the door starts closed and there’s exactly one remote button with defined behavior for opening and closing, including a fixed five-second movement time.
The part that really raised the difficulty was handling what happens while the door is moving: one button press should pause movement, another press should resume movement in the same direction, and obstacle detection had to immediately reverse direction when an obstacle is detected. The input was a string where each character represented one second, with symbols for “no event,” a button press, and an obstacle. I had to interpret the event stream and implement the state transitions correctly.

What to expect
Distilled from the reports
Online Technical Assessment
Candidates typically start with a challenging online technical assessment that includes coding tasks and problem-solving scenarios, often requiring practical implementation rather than standard algorithm questions. Expect to spend significant time on debugging and writing tests, as well as handling real-world scenarios.

Live Coding Interviews
Following the assessment, candidates participate in live coding interviews that focus on their ability to solve problems in real-time without the aid of an IDE or debugger. These interviews often test concurrency, data handling, and practical coding skills under pressure.

Behavioral and Cultural Fit Interviews
Candidates will encounter behavioral interviews aimed at assessing cultural fit, soft skills, and problem-solving approaches. These discussions often involve multiple interviewers and may include situational questions to gauge how candidates handle challenges.

Structured Multi-Stage Process
The interview process is typically multi-stage, beginning with HR screenings and progressing through various technical and behavioral evaluations. Each stage is designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's skills and fit for the role, often leading to a final interview with leadership.

Feedback and Communication
Candidates report mixed experiences with feedback and communication throughout the process, with some feeling well-informed and others experiencing abrupt rejections or a lack of constructive feedback. Clear communication about expectations and next steps is emphasized as a positive aspect.

Overall Difficulty and Pressure
Candidates generally find the interview process to be challenging but fair, with a focus on relevant skills rather than arbitrary difficulty. However, some report feeling significant pressure during live coding sessions, which can impact their performance and overall experience.
