I learned quickly that how technical the role felt depended a lot on the team. From a technical standpoint, my interview didn’t seem overly complicated, and a lot of it connected back to my previous work rather than abstract questions.
They explained that for systems work, the focus could lean either software or hardware depending on which group I’d join. The part that stuck with me was that, in day-to-day work, you might need to handle both sides—whatever the team required at the time.

My interview journey felt like a long day built out of multiple sessions, with a pretty consistent theme: technical depth plus a bit of behavioral filtering. I did rounds that were partly online and partly in person, and I ended up speaking with multiple people from different parts of the team. The structure repeated itself—different interviewers would each take about a set block of time, with a break in the middle on the day that ran the longest.
For the technical content, I remember signal-processing-style questions and conversions (the discussion touched analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog concepts, including ideas like sampling rates). I also got questions that leaned on electronics fundamentals and timing, plus background and project walk-throughs. Some sessions leaned more toward personal style and how I fit, while others felt very much like problem-solving under real interview conditions.
