Average Negative Coral Springs, FL

My experience with Ametek felt rough from a professionalism standpoint. I went in expecting role-relevant discussion, but the questions ended up including digital design topics that weren’t really connected to what I was interviewing for. I also noticed something unsettling during the later part of the process.

During the final interview, it came up that they had contacted my former employer for a reference without telling me—something I hadn’t known about ahead of time. That moment completely changed how I viewed the process, and it didn’t feel respectful. Overall, even though I went through the interviews, I left regretting applying because the experience didn’t match how professional and transparent it should’ve been.

Average Positive Bengaluru

My process started with aptitude and coding, and the overall vibe was friendly and polite. I went into the first round expecting typical screening energy, but it was more of a warm, approachable setup. The next step was a technical interview where I was asked about a basic OOPs concept, and then I had to explain a project I’d worked on.

What stood out most was how conversational the interaction felt. I didn’t get the sense that I was being tested in a hostile way; instead, the questions seemed aimed at understanding how I think and how I communicate my experience. The difficulty felt manageable, at least compared to more intense rounds I’d heard about elsewhere. By the end, I left with a clearer sense of what they cared about—fundamentals and the ability to walk through work in a straightforward way.
