I went through a two-round interview sequence back-to-back, with a single panelist in each round. The first one started with a behavioral question, then moved into a mix of technical and analytical prompts that felt like they were measuring how I think under pressure. I had to work through a couple of guesstimates and a riddle rooted in probability, then we shifted into fraud-prevention themed scenarios where I had to reason about what would go wrong and how to respond.

The second round was harder and began with discussion of projects I wanted to talk about, followed by a case leaning into ML and another fraud-related case. I got another mathematical puzzle and another guesstimate, and then there was a SQL question that focused less on writing code and more on explaining the logic behind it. Since I hadn’t been working heavily with programming, it was a moment where I had to be careful in how I framed my understanding, but I still worked through the reasoning.

I had a casual interview that still managed to cover a fair amount of practical finance thinking. The questions mixed background conversation with technical checks, and the vibe was relaxed enough that it didn’t feel like I was battling nerves.

I was asked about my background, then got a high-level SQL question focused on JOINs. From there, the interview shifted into credit-product reasoning: I discussed how I would approach a credit product alongside delinquency rate considerations, and I had to talk through what types of data or factors would be needed for a specific credit problem.
