After that, the process stayed in that same vein of reading through prompts rather than interactive back-and-forth. I had a lot of management experience from hospitality and travel, so I assumed it would be a smooth “fit” conversation. By the end, I still didn’t feel like the interviewers were getting much of my story, and the overall tone didn’t translate to an offer.
