At the start, the interviewers spent roughly the first 10 to 20 minutes walking me through slides about AMD, which set the context before any questioning began. After that, they asked behavioral questions and also a simple scripting task.

In my case the scripting question was in Python, which kept the technical part approachable and straightforward compared to deeper coding interviews. The overall mix made it feel like they were assessing communication and general scripting ability rather than pushing for advanced algorithms.

My interview at AMD started with a quick walkthrough of the company—about ten to twenty minutes of slides—before it moved into the actual questions. After the presentation, I was pulled into behavioral questions and then a small scripting task. In my case, the scripting question used Python.

What surprised me was how much the round felt like a gate before getting technical. The behavioral part covered my background and experiences, and then the scripting question was simple but still clearly meant to check whether I could actually implement something rather than just talk about it.
