My journey started with a longer, assessment-heavy path. I first did an online assessment, and the overall process stretched across several steps with a lot of waiting between them. Eventually I was invited to a technical round that focused on DSA, and it included two questions—one on prefix sums and another on an advanced binary search.

After that, the process shifted into a take-home style component followed by additional online interviews. Those follow-up interviews emphasized technical problem-solving and system design discussions, plus a more direct conversation about my previous engineering approach. The timeline felt longer than it was supposed to be between stages, and the structure made everything feel somewhat tedious rather than fast-moving.

My experience felt very “systems and networking first.” The process began with an online assessment that focused on networking and troubleshooting, then I moved into a phone screen where I got quizzed on core networking concepts like TCP/IP, routing and switching, and DNS.

After that, the interview loop came with multiple rounds where I had to reason through real network design and failure scenarios. One part felt like a deep dive on Amazon’s leadership principles, and I remember having to frame past experiences using STAR-style examples to show how I’d act under pressure. The later rounds also included a bar-raiser style round and then a final hiring-decision conversation.
